  • Permit fulfilment — issuing digital parking permits linked to your vehicle registrations
  • Parking enforcement — verifying valid permits via ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras at Kyle Rise Car Park
  • Payment processing — processing purchases through Stripe
  • Communications — sending permit confirmations and essential account notifications by email
  • Customer support — responding to your queries

4. Lawful basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your data on the following lawful bases:

  • Contract (Article 6(1)(b)) — processing necessary to fulfil our contract with you when you purchase a parking permit (name, email, vehicle registrations, payment transaction IDs)
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — parking enforcement via ANPR to manage the car park; our legitimate interest in ensuring only valid permit holders use the car park
  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — where you optionally provide your phone number

5. Who we share data with

We share your data with the following third parties only as necessary:

  • Stripe — our payment processor, who handles all card payment details. Stripe is PCI DSS compliant. See Stripe's privacy policy.

We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not share your data with any other third parties, advertisers, or marketing companies.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal data for the following periods:

  • Account data — retained while your account is active, and for up to 12 months after you request deletion (to handle any outstanding disputes)
  • Transaction records — retained for 6 years as required by UK tax and accounting regulations
  • ANPR data — vehicle registration plates captured by ANPR cameras are checked against active permits in real-time and are not stored long-term by this application

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
